A Few Extra Tips

Don't worry about removing all six strings at once. It's a myth that this will damage your neck—it's perfectly safe.
Kinking the string before inserting it into the bridge makes a big difference. It helps the ball end stay in place and prevents the pin from popping out.
Pull the string snug after inserting the peg. You'll feel it lock into place better.
Wind smart: One loop above the loose end, all other winds below. That gives better tuning stability and helps lock the string in place.
Stretch the strings well. Not just a gentle tug—give them a proper pull. Suppose they will go out of tune, better now than mid-song.
